Cyanuric Chloride is an important raw material for the production of numerous reactive dyes. Reactive dyes form a chemical bond with cellulose, the main component of cotton fibers. Other fibers that have nucleophilic groups can also enter into a covalent bond with the triazine substituents: that is, the dye is chemically fixed on the fiber. The result is a high-grade, non-fading, colorfast dyeing.
